Technical lead (Morpheum)
Position overview
Morpheum is seeking a technical lead to inspire and manage our team of developers.
The position reports directly to the Services Team Leader for all operational, HR and leadership related activities and to a specified Project Manager for all project deliverables.
Technology experience:
- ASP, HTML, ASP.NET
- PHP, open source software well regarded
- JavaScript, DHTML, CSS
- SQL Server 2000
- XML / XSLT
- IIS + Windows Server platform
Responsibilities:
- The efficient operation of the delivery team such that client billable work is delivered to Morpheum's standards, within budget and timelines
- Undertake work assigned by the Services Team Leader such that client billable work is delivered to Morpheum's standards, within budget and timelines
- Manage own time to maximise the level of billable work and minimise the level of overruns and downtime
- Perform all development work in line with Morpheum's Quality Control processes and any industry standard processes adopted by the business, in particular, ensuring websites conform to Morpheum's adopted Accessibility conformance policy
- Ensure that all relevant skills and knowledge are kept current, with particular focus on standards-based development and accessibility techniques
- Provide appropriate feedback in relation to the work allocated to facilitate the effective utilisation of the technical team in relation to Morpheum's broader objectives
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all staff
- Respect and adhere to Morpheum's processes and other obligations as defined in your Contract of Employment
- Other Duties as directed by the Technical Manager
Capabilities:
- Familiarity with each phase in the SDLC
- Knowledge of best practise system design principles
- Knowledge of data modelling and database schema design principles
- Have strong communications skills
