
Technical architect (Lantern)
Position overview
This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a Content Management product that delivers high quality and function rich websites. You will oversee the development of the product to support an aggressive growth strategy in Asia-Pacifc and abroad.
As the Technical Architect, you will be leveraging your 5 years + knowledge and experience with 'corporate' web based product development in a more hands-on, responsive environment. Your authority in SQL, .NET and ASP will be needed as you manage technical design, development, installation and maintenance, ensuring the delivery of a high quality and timely product
You will have a track record of success through all stages of the SDLC producing high quality products within project time frames. Your great communication skills will be valued as you will be relied upon to advise the Management team, mentor the Product Development team and liaise with counterparts in partner organisations.
The position reports directly to the Product Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of the Lantern product in line with the product development strategy
- Architect the next version of the product
- Technical requirements analysis
- Selection of appropriate technologies
- Software and database design
- Deliver the solution according to the requirements
- Selection of appropriate resources
- Manage the development team
- Testing and release management
- Prepare the software for a reseller network
- Contribute planning and support to the product distribution strategy
- Implement strategies to future-proof the product
- Enhance the installation and upgrade process
- Undertake assigned work such that project development milestones are delivered to Lantern's standards, within budget and timelines
- Implement standards and work practices that ensure high quality and reusability of development work
- Clear and effective communication with all staff
- Respect and adhere to Morpheum's processes and other obligations as defined in the Contract of Employment
- Provide mentoring to developers on software development techniques, processes and policies
- Other duties as directed

- 5 years + web development experience
- 2 years + in team leader role
- Experience with all stages of the SDLC
- Web based product development

- Experience with Quality tools and processes (Automated build, unit testing etc)
- API development
- Software distribution controls and practices

- Tertiary qualifications in IT related discipline
