
Business Development Manager
Position overview
We are currently looking for an energetic, experienced Business Development Manager. We are looking for an experienced, energetic person to become part of the customer service and new business team, and contribute to our ongoing success.
The role will provide exposure to a range of industry sectors such as government, corporate and not for profit. Servicing medium to large organisations, you will be involved in delivering solutions for some of the most recognised and influential bodies in the country. (Another huge plus, with our top down approach, you will get to engage the people responsible for making these companies a huge success.)
Applicants will have some form of tertiary qualification and at least three years experience in a new business or sales role (you don't have to come from IT - we will train you!).
The ideal candidate needs to be a well presented, self motivated and prepared to hit the ground running. Working in both team and individual environments, you will have a proven track record of identifying, hunting and closing new business across a number of corporate and/or government sectors.

Responsibilities
- Identification and development of new business opportunities through identification and qualification of new clients.
- Execution of appropriate strategies to ensure your targets are met
- Creation, development and presentation of sales proposals, quotes and work requests. Execution of all proposals in line with Morpheum's sales strategy, quality control processes and any industry standard processes adopted by Morpheum
- Use of standard pricing, templates and collateral as directed
- Ensuring the appropriate department staff are briefed and sufficient lead times are available for them to provide pre-sales support such as work estimates in relation to client proposals
- Recording and management of all client contact and sales related intellectual property within the specified Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool or as otherwise approved by management
- Completion of all specified sales reporting requirements
- Participation in the development and continuous improvement of marketing and sales collateral
- Providing relevant and timely input to the Weekly Work Allocation meeting to facilitate the effective utilisation of all staff in relation to Morpheum's broader objectives
- Effective management of allocated key client accounts such that client retention and revenues are maximised
- Support to Account Manager
- Clear and effective communication with all staff as required, and with the Senior Management Team in particular
- Respect for, and adhere to Morpheum's processes and other obligations as defined in your Contract of Employment
- Other Duties as directed by the General Manager
